emissão especial para os the beatles no dia em que foi lançado o box set da discografia remasterizada sendo a primeira remasterização dos trabalhos desde 1987, ano em que os álbuns foram vistos pela primeira vez em formato cd. deste boxset saíram duas versões: uma em stereo (mais barata) que inclui todos os álbuns da banda e ainda a compilação "past masters"; uma em mono (mais cara) que inlcui todos os álbuns originalmente gravados em mono, ficando excluidos do alinhamento os álbuns yellow submarine, abbey road e let it be mas com a compilação "mono masters".
